Put on your headphones
Every sound has its own place around your head: in front, behind, above, right next to your ear. With headphones you hear it coming from there.
All sounds are synthesized live in your browser. Nothing to download. The space around you

Binaural beats
Two almost identical tones, one per ear: you hear the difference as a slow pulse born inside your head.

What is binaural audio?
Your brain works out where a sound comes from by comparing your two ears: which one hears it first, which one louder, and how the shape of your head and ear changes its tone. Binaural audio recreates these differences with a filter called HRTF, so in headphones a sound seems to come from behind, from above or from right next to your ear, not just from the left or the right.
How to use the Binaural Rooms
Pick a room and press Listen. On the radar you see every sound from above: drag it around your head and hear how it changes. Balance sets how much reaches each ear, Swap L/R exchanges the channels, and the 8D effect makes every sound slowly circle around you.
Binaural beats: what they are
If your left ear gets a 197 Hz tone and your right ear a 203 Hz tone, you perceive a 6 Hz pulse that exists in neither earphone. Many people use it as a background to relax, meditate or focus. It only works with headphones; keep the volume low and don't listen while driving.
